How it works

The Solar Hybrid Air Conditioner functions using a combination of solar assistance and conventional mains to heat the refrigerant (R410A) to assist the compressor in the outdoor unit and condenser. Heat is collected through a solar thermal collector with the ambient air temperature and is transferred to the refrigerant gas in an effective heat exchange process. This supplementary energy source reduces both the amount of work the compressor has to do and for how long it needs to run.

The compressor life is extended due to the compressor not turning on as often, or for as long compared to a conventional AC process. The hotter it gets outside the greater the efficiency gains on the inside. The solar hybrid air conditioner is therefore less expensive to run due to its reduced reliance on electricity to operate. It’s designed to perform in Australia’s extreme environments. IP solar hybrid air conditioning is eco-friendly also and friendly to your hip pocket too.
