As of 30th September 2009, Solar Shop Australia will no longer be selling Solar Hot Water systems. Solar Shop Australia is confident that PV solar power systems are a stronger product offering, and as has decided to narrow its focus exclusively to designing and installing Grid Connect Solar, Sun Farms and commercially sized Stand Alone Power Systems. Why the change?Whilst Solar Hot Water uses the sun as its energy source to heat water, as your tank of hot water cools you lose the energy collected. This is not the most efficient way of using the power of the sun. While both Solar Hot Water and Grid Connect Solar can reduce your energy costs, Grid Connect Solar can generate power back into the grid and earn you money - this is a proposition that Solar Shop Australia feels is best for our customers.
